The nature of my counseling/psychotherapy practice includes private practice and agency based treatment. Focus includes mood disorders, crises, grief, behavioral issues, career concerns, and relational issues.
Theoretical approaches include cognitive-behavioral, behavioral, and existential.
Methods and techniques I use include reframing exercises, systematic desensitization, problem-solving skills training, role playing, modeling, behavioral rehearsal, homework assignments, identification of responsibility avoidance, and confronting irresponsibility.
Coping strategies include owning feelings/statements/actions, monitoring/restructuring negative thoughts,mindfulness, guided imagery, deep breathing, and self-talk.
